Facebook and Instagram are under formal investigation in the European Union over child protection concerns, the Commission announced Thursday. The proceedings follow a raft of requests for information to parent entity Meta since the bloc’s online governance regime, the Digital Services Act (DSA), started applying last August.

📉 Medier får mindre trafik fra både Facebook og Google

We’ve known for some time that Facebook traffic was unreliable. The very first AMO piece discussed how Slate saw its Facebook traffic crater. But even if the narrative hasn’t changed over the past nearly five years, a 50% drop in the last 12 months is still sizeable.

But getting this number from Spotify hasn’t always been easy. Unless your show was hosted with a Spotify-owned hosting provider like Megaphone, getting usable Listen Time data from Spotify meant manually calculating an estimate based on episode retention. Not fun.

But that all changed recently. Without much fanfare, Spotify added a new number to their episode overview pages: all-time “consumption hours.”

🔒 DRTV kræver login fra efteråret

Efter DR i sensommeren 2023 lancerede et nyt loginsystem til streamingplatformen DRTV, går public service-stationen nu skridtet videre og gør det obligatorisk for brugere at logge ind, hvis de vil tilgå DR’s indhold. Det oplyser DR i en meddelelse.
