Gør som de andre. Få overblikket allerede i indbakken:
🤳 Facebook tester AI-genererede Stories
“Facebook continues to explore ways to get more people posting to Stories, this time via a new, automated Stories generation process that uses image recognition AI to create new Stories from your shared content. […]
The process will generate Stories based on images that you’ve uploaded to the app, using thematic matching to provide templated frames that you can then share with your audience.”
“Twitter is gradually dying, and has been now for months. Over the weekend, though, some of the initial cracks started to deepen and spread. The platform is now fundamentally and perhaps permanently unwell.”

😬 Twitter Circles er ikke så private længere
“Numerous Twitter users are reporting a bug in which Circle tweets — which are supposed to reach a select group, like an Instagram Close Friends story — are surfacing on the algorithmically generated For You timeline. That means that your supposedly private posts might breach containment to reach an unintended audience, which could quickly spark some uncomfortable situations.”
🤖 Musk har AI-planer med Twitter
“Elon Musk is said to be moving forward with an artificial-intelligence project within Twitter, despite recently signing an open letter calling for an industrywide halt to any AI training for several months.”

CEO John Lansing siger:
“The downside, whatever the downside, doesn’t change that fact [that] “I would never have our content go anywhere that would risk our credibility.”
For hvad mister man egentlig?
“At this point I have lost my faith in the decision-making at Twitter. I would need some time to understand whether Twitter can be trusted again.”
Wikipedia.
“In his exchanges with NPR reporter Allyn, Musk said he was relying on a Wikipedia page dedicated to ‘publicly funded broadcasters’ to determine which accounts should receive the label.
When pressed for how he justifies the disclaimer considering NPR receives meager funding from the government and has complete editorial independence, Musk veered into conspiratorial territory.”

“Elon Musk gave a rare interview to an actual reporter late on Tuesday, speaking to BBC reporter James Clayton on Twitter Spaces. During the interview, Clayton pressed Musk on whether his purchase of Twitter was, in the end, something he went through with willingly, or whether it was something he did because the active court case at the time in which Twitter was trying to force him to go through with the sale was going badly.
The answer (which we all suspected anyway) was that Musk did indeed only do the deal because he believed legally, he was going to be forced to do so anyway.

✅ Gamle Twitter-verificeringer forsvinder 20. april
“Elon Musk said that Twitter will finally move to remove the legacy blue checkmarks on April 20 or 4/20 because he can’t let go of that joke. This is the “final date,” he said in a tweet. If the move goes through, Twitter will have verification marks only for paid users and businesses, and government entities and officials.”
“First, of course, are the basic features – ad-free viewing, downloadable clips, YouTube Music that can be played in the background, etc.
In addition to these enticements, YouTube’s also adding some new Premium features, as it seeks to boost its subscription revenue, which is the latest social app trend.”
“Whether it will become a real competitor to Twitter won’t be known for weeks. But Elon Musk apparently feels it might. Last week, he banned all Substack links from Twitter after Substack announced Notes. Twitter then hid from search results any news stories mentioning Substack.”

“Artifact, the personalized news sharing app founded by Instagram’s co-founders, has added comments and discussion on articles, marking the first public social components of the new app.”
🎧 Hvorfor lægger nogle medier deres podcasts på YouTube?
“The research firm found that more podcast listeners in the U.S. prefer to watch podcasts on YouTube than listen to audio-only versions.”
📺 Danskerne satte streaming-rekord i Q1

🔮 Stigende printudgifter accelererer digital udvikling hos Kristeligt
“While more ad dollars are being spent on the short-form format, it’s now being allocated across more platforms than ever before. And this could become troublesome for TikTok in the long run even if it initially got marketers addicted to short-form video content.”
⏩ Sådan videreudvikler nogle medier deres forretninger
“A media company can only grow so much when sticking to one channel. At least that’s what four newsletter publisher executives said when outlining their plans to Digiday about expanding into events, video and podcasts to diversify their businesses and grow their revenue this year.”
😒 Apple beskyldes for konkurrenceforvridning i Frankrig
“Four French online advertising lobbies have filed an antitrust complaint against Apple over changes the iPhone maker will make to privacy features within the next version of its mobile operating system, they said in a statement on Wednesday.”
Del 4: Udvikling og tech
Her får du et kig på nogle af ugens historier indenfor den digitale udvikling og teknologi, der enten direkte eller indirekte kan have betydning for medier/udgivere.
🤔 Vil AI-skabte billeder betyde krise for faktatjekkere?
Eksperterne er ikke helt sikre.
“I spoke to several journalists, experts, and fact-checkers to assess the dangers posed by visual generative AI. When seeing is no longer believing, what are the implications this technology has on misinformation? How will this impact journalists and fact-checkers who debunk hoaxes? Will our information channels be flooded with “propaganda and untruth”?”
🤖 MailChimp bruger nu også ChatGPT
“For companies that send email through Mailchimp, there’s now a third option: letting AI generate any marketing missives. On Monday the company announced the beta launch of a tool called Email Content Generator, which uses OpenAI’s GPT technology to create marketing copy that users can drag and drop into emails they’re sending to existing and prospective customers.”
🌟 Flere medier laver AI-teams
“What started out as an informal dabbling with generative AI technology inside publishers’ newsrooms has developed into a full-fledged focus area for some media companies.
New teams are being formed within BuzzFeed, BridgeTower Media, Forbes, Ingenio and Trusted Media Brands, all dedicated to overseeing AI initiatives within different parts of their respective companies, ranging from editorial to tech.”
“The ChatGPT case in Italy is the tip of the legal iceberg. Litigation involving OpenAI and companies with generative AI tools is rising.”

👺 Nu kommer ChatGPT-hackingen
“It took Alex Polyakov just a couple of hours to break GPT-4. When OpenAI released the latest version of its text-generating chatbot in March, Polyakov sat down in front of his keyboard and started entering prompts designed to bypass OpenAI’s safety systems. Soon, the CEO of security firm Adversa AI had GPT-4 spouting homophobic statements, creating phishing emails, and supporting violence.”
